First time ever in a canoe for Suresh, and Sathiya is holding on to her dear life, with a smile though!

Suresh has never been in a canoe but we really wanted to get in one. He hadn’t told me that he’s never been in a canoe until we got in and he started rowing. I asked Suresh if he knew that canoes are very easy to tip over, he said, “are they? I didn’t know that.” The first thing I did was test the water to see if it was as cold as the air – it wasn’t, it was warm. So I took off my shoes and held on tight and was ready to fall right over and fall into the lake… and cling onto my life to swim ashore. But Suresh, being the person that he is, and for one of the qualities that I so love him for, moved that canoe like an expert… so much that I even let my little niece in the canoe with him after! – Photography by DigiMediaPhoto.com

Those feet that found their way to me, thank you. Those who forbid us from swimming to the island, thank you too (yes, in hindsight – it was a very cold and windy day).

More cuddle pictures. We went looking for an island, but it was freezing and our family had forbidden us from swimming in the water to get to it. So we settled for this rock that’s immersed in water. We will swim to an island later, when no one is looking! – Photography by DigiMediaPhoto.com

We truly focused on looking like we loved each other, as the photographer had suggested. With the cold wind blowing all around us, it made it super easy to just cuddle together.

We wanted a big waterfall (and yes, we realize Niagra Falls is closer to us, but so overdone), and we got one… after 2 hours of driving from Elliot Lake and a few pit stops later, we shot these pictures while an entire community of people stared at us. But enough about the picture, let’s talk about that quote… is it not epic and so expressive of our (*cough*Suresh’s*cough*) love for each other?! – Photography by DigiMediaPhoto.com
